To begin with, the SircleBind CB-60 is an extremely affordable machine. At the time of this article it cost just around $57. For that price, a small business or just your average Joe at home can afford to buy one. Comb binding is the most popular binding format for the budget minded and for home use. Comb binding (aka 19-ring plastic binding) is durable, supplies are readily available and you can choose from a huge assortment of colors and diameters. The color selection alone is enough for many people to consider this format. Combs are also extremely cheap, usually come 100 per box and can be re-opened and re-used as the need arises.

Comb binding has literally been around for almost half a century. It is extremely popular in schools and has always been a popular option in businesses around the United Sates. Supplies are usually 11" long, to accommodate letter-size paper, and usually feature 19 total rings (holes) along the 11" side of a sheet of paper. Because it is portable, it is ideal for scrapbookers or for use in businesses where the binding machine needs to be carried around from one desk to another.

The biggest downside of the CB-60 is the material used in its construction. Much of the CB-60 is made out of plastic. This doesnt mean it will simply fall apart on you, but it definitely isnt designed for high-volume binding. I recommend you use this comb binder for binding no more than a couple of books a day. As long as you keep your punching within recommended tolerances, and dont overuse it on a daily basis, it should hold up for some time.
