Painting My House How I Made A Good Decision

I have been living in the same house for ten years

. I wondered if it is a good idea to make an investment in improving the look of my house. There is an important amount of money involved in this project and I had some hesitations at the beginning. But I decided that a change of colours will be for the better of my entire family.

I have no idea when the former owner has painted the exterior walls of the home. Definitely, at the moment I bought the house it was looking great and the price really suited my wallet. So, I thought that it is more desirable to begin with asking some questions.

Firstly, I went to my neighbours from the left side. They are a young couple who has painted their home last year. They had a particular reason: the baby who was on his way. They gave me a piece of advice which didnt convince me too much. This advice was a sort of: dont start to paint if you dont have a serious reason. Why should you spend money if it is not really necessary? I said to myself: they are young and stressed because they have a thousands of reasons: the baby is crying, the diapers are too expensive, you need to go to the paediatrics clinic every week and many more. I went through this situation years ago too.

Later I asked for the advice of my neighbour from the right side. This lady seems to be older than the neighbourhood. She knows almost everything about everybody. I was sure that she will have some words for me. And she did for a whole hour. I was informed about all the recently painted houses from our area. Also, I found out what are the most competitive prices for the painting services. The old lady told me about the painter company from the next neighbourhood. They have lower prices but it takes them a lot of time to get the job done. There is another team of painters working in the old centre of our town. They have many contracts and you have to make an appointment beforehand. It is possible to wait for several days up to a few weeks until they will have time for your project. I got a huge amount of information so that I can make a decision easier. Actually I have to admit that I was completely confused.

I told to myself that I would better look for a team of workers on the specialized sites from the internet. With a quick research I can find a lot of addresses and offers from the companies involved in the painting of houses. Once I decided upon an enterprise I called and asked for more details about the steps to follow. I got the job done in two weeks. I consider this period a reasonable one. After all it was not such a big hurry. I like the way my house looks now. Frankly, you dont need any advice when you really want to change something in your life.
