These items are necessary for many painting projects. You should consider purchasing anything you dont have, even if you might not need it for your current project. The investment may be worthwhile should you undertake additional painting projects.
Ladders. When painting, youll likely have to reach high areas. The higher you need to go, the taller the ladder youll need. Its a good idea to have ladders of varying heights. You dont want to have to drag in an extension ladder if you only need to reach up a few feet. Conversely, a step ladder wont cut it if you have to paint a 14-foot ceiling.
Brushes. Painting supplies include literally hundreds of different types of brushes. Youll need to determine the appropriate types of brushes for your project. When you use the right brush, your work is easier and the end product better.
Examples include brushes to clean surfaces and brushes to paint various types of surfaces. Bristle and wire brushes remove loose material, efflorescence, flaking paint and other debris from masonry surfaces. A large handle brush can clean large surface areas.
