Lighter green material is much better then darker green and you want to go as bright as you can. However there is a fine line between yellow and green and you don't want the green to be confused with yellow. If you cannot decide if the color is yellow or green then you shouldn't use it. This will cause problems with post editing.
If your eye is confused about the color then you can bet that the camera and computer will be confused about the color. Having the wrong color background can be a big pain in the post editing process.
