Pc flight simulator games have a lot of potential for expansion in the field of social gaming

, which is a hot trend right now.

The billion dollar social gaming business is ruled by such games as Facebook's Mafia Wars and Farmville, MMOPRG's such as WOW and Second life, all examples of online social gaming.

As more and more people populating the online realm, and with connection speeds being faster than ever before, its become easier for gamers the world over to connect with each other and play their favourite games in the company of friends and complete strangers alike.

Up until this point, the average PC flight simulator had not taken advantage of this burgeoning online gaming universe.

That has recently changed for the better though, with the release of Flight Pro Sim.

Although its not a game primarily centered around social interaction, FPS is still anPC flight simulator that is outstanding while also incorporating online play into its normal gameplay, making a greater sence or realism.

When connected to a server, pilots can all chat with each other, fly together, and even help each other out by performing one of several advanced manoeuvres that are new to the PC flight simulator genre thanks to new online play features.

These include air-to-air refuelling between planes, formation flying with other aircraft, and landing on ATCs controlled by other players.

Some of the aircraft even allow two pilots to fly missions, or go journeying together.

Even in online play, the world of FlightProSim is incredibly vast, and the number of players connected online at any given time is not overly large, so even while playing online, you may not see another player throughout your entire session.

Gamers normally have to coordinate their flight routes and times in order to hook up with the other players, except on the rare occasions that armchair aircraft pilots cross paths in the open skies.

There is one area of the game that is heavily trafficked, and that is the area surrounding San Francisco airport, which happens to be the games main airport, and is included with the basic package of the game.
