I know that you don't know me at all but I have just read a book that may help you in your personal life and your business life. I came across this book after reading the author first book "Who Moved my Cheese?"
I was at the Library one day and saw the book and picked this book up and could not put it down. I was in the process of working two jobs and just started my home business. I had plans to build my home business then later quit my jobs after making enough income to cover the job. But with new management I was let go of one of my jobs.
I was happy to have my second job but after reading this book I learned to control my emotions and learn to focus, it was funny and simply.

Whether you are temporarily up on a peak or down in a Valley ask yourself: What is the truth in this situation?
For me I was not happy at this job but I did my best and I out worked everyone, so I looked at being fired as a good opportunity to put my effort into my home business. I decided to pass out more business cards on my home business, find ways to market my business on the internet and network with people that could help me achieve my plans and goals.
To Get Out Of A Valley Sooner:
Find and Use the Good Hidden In a Bad Time
Relax, knowing that Valleys end. Do the opposite of what put you in the Valley. Get outside of yourself: be of more service at work and more loving in life. Avoid comparison. Uncover the good that is hidden in a bad time, and use it soon to your advantage.
This is kind of hard one because being fired just happened and it's hard to get outside yourself when it's in December and you have three kids and Christmas it's near! But I did start the food drive at my previous job, I do know I have a second job and I have the potential to make money on the internet! My kids still have toys from last year so I can take my eyes off me and my kids. My family and I made a commitment to a church to give $300 Dollars, so I know I will make something happen I have faith.

Appreciate and Manage Your Good Times
Be humble and grateful. Do more of what got you there. Keep making things better. Do more for others. Save resources for your upcoming Valleys.
This is a hard one to be humble and grateful when you are feeling bad, one is I lost my job I know I have another one but that extra income was going toward other things, I feel like its always something happen but way me! O.k. enough about me how is this book helping me while, I started to look at it like I do have a roof over my head I can work to lower my mortgage also I will work to lower my Insurance. This helps me be humble I do own a home I have a second rental property, its not bringing in me income but I can write it off this year and try to rent it or sell it!! I started just thanking god for what I have.

This one was working my current home business having faith it will work and if not I will gain skills to help me in my next business but I will not give up!!! I will continue to learn and take action.

Help people make good and bad times work for them, too
I have found that I really like to help people; if I see a good movie and it makes me feel good I tell someone and hope they get that good feeling. If I know of a good place to eat for example if you're in Cincinnati pizza would be "Larossa" I share that hoping people have a great experience that I did.
In closing this is a great book "Peaks and Valleys" I will give this to my sons and daughters when they get of age.
