Established in the 1920s, Pemberton Heights is a historic Austin neighborhood that has been named by Town and Country Magazine as one of the 25 Platinum Addresses in the United States. The neighborhood has drawn politicians, artists, and successful businessmen, and boasts well-known homes such as the Pemberton Castle and The Goodfried House. In fact, many homes are designated with Texas Historical markers.

Just three miles from downtown, the area is bordered by Westover Road to the north, Windsor Road and West 24th to the south, Lamar Boulevard to the east, and MoPac to the west.
