All that matters for a tourist is not how big the place is

, but how beautiful and how comfortable it is for a quiet stay. This little town Denia, little known till recently is now on the tourist map of Spain. This little town of Costa Blanca is located in the east of Spain. Till recently it was dependent on growing raisins to support its economy. Fishing was another main trade of this little town. But slowly tourism is becoming another busy industry of Denia. The question is how does this little town come prominently on the tourist map of Spain? It is because of the citys cool weather, healthy environment and beautiful nature and historical monuments that Denia has become a popular tourist spot. Here are some of the most interesting tourist spots of Denia:

Beach:

The 20 kilometer long beach of Denia is covered with pebbles and white sand and small coves. The sand on the beach and beautiful environment around it makes Denia a heaven for tourists. There are ample amenities for water sports including wind surfing, diving, boating, etc. Rows of restaurants and bars all along the beach offer many dishes for the tourist to relish at the most reasonable charges. That makes one enjoy every minute of ones stay in Denia.

Rich vegetation:

Apart from raisins, oranges and lemons are grown in abundance in Denia. One can find large areas of land under cultivation of these crops. The weather condition of Denia (which is about 19 degree Celsius in the normal course) and the soil condition have helped the growth of these crops.

The hill and the castle:

Just opposite the vast sea is a tall hill. One can drive or go on foot to the top of the hill. There are view points from where the tourist can enjoy the nature. On the top of the hill, there is a castle which is believed to have been built by Romans. Historians say that the castle was built as a defense against pirates and other enemies. It also served as a watch tower. The castle has an archeological museum which speaks of the history of Denia from the period of Romans.

Back to the town, there are many churches which are of historical importance. The town has parks and the parks have many works of impressive sculptures and other rare species of plants.
