Not all brides dream of the traditional church wedding in the white gown being walked down the aisle by there fathers. Many, dream of a eloping and being wed on a tropical island or being married on the beautiful beaches of the land down under of Australia.

Beach weddings are by far the most popular locations when planning to elope, however many brides plan a garden wedding or even a Vegas style wedding. Eloping may also be referred to Destination weddings or location weddings.

As romantic as it sounds eloping come with many decisions. Your first thought may be " How will this effect guests in particular family when they find out you have eloped?", "Where will we get married?", "Can we be legally married at that destination? And, How long will it take to apply for the marriage licence?" you may also like to think about the date, and budget in which you want to spend when you elope.

Due to the popularity of eloping, there are many resorts and Islands that will now accommodation wedding. Have you thought about a tropical island off the north coast of Australia?

If you are choosing to invite guests make sure you give them plenty of notice to make travel arrangements and to also save up for the cost of the elopement. Just like a traditional wedding take the weather into consideration and what will your wet weather plans be in case it rains.

To cut costs it may also be worth considering having your honeymoon at the same location when you elopement. Although elopement weddings may sound less expensive than a traditional wedding once you take into account the accommodation and flights it may work out to be just as expensive as a traditional wedding. However at the end of the day it's the bride and grooms day and it's their choice to married when and how they wish.
