They have changed a lot of professions, workplaces, altered their preferences and outlooks on life but still have not succeeded. What is the difference between them and can the problem be resolved?

The importance of career planning

The answer is simple. The first category of people learned how to program their lives to success. They did not know neither the big secret nor the magic. They knew how to plan ones own career. As lifetime showed, this knowledge was sufficient to get the best from life.

Making a plan

According to the terms two main career plans are distinguished: long-term plan and short-term plan. Long-term plan implies the period of 5-10 years, and short-term plan is worked out up to 5 years.

1)The first step in career planning, according to the experts opinion, is to evaluate ones present lifestyle. If everything satisfies personal demands, one should go to the next direction. If not, one has to think about priorities he/she is required by life.

2)Analyzing the personality permits to reveal knowledge, skills, passions, preferences, psychological peculiarities, strong and weak sides. The detailed investigation allows to estimate the situation and to point out moments to change. The analysis of a workplace is also important.

3)After doing the previous instructions, one should turn to practice. Search for the positions that coincide to your expectations. Be ready to correspond to their demands. If you feel the serious lack of some qualities, find the way to improve them by attending professional courses or trainings.

Remember, our life is not a place we are going to, it is something we are creating.
