You should first determine the function of the room in order to get the proper shade of the light you can use. If the place is a busy place such as the living room, it must be illuminated with right amount of shade. Moreover, for the task lighting type, the fixture used for this should also provide right amount of shade and should not produce shadow so that you can do your tasks conveniently.
