Play Blu-ray Movies On Computer, Even On Ipad Mini
Blu-ray (not Blue-ray) also known as Blu-ray Disc (BD)
, is the name of a next-generation optical disc format jointly developed by the Blu-ray Disc Association (BDA), a group of the world's leading consumer electronics, personal computer and media manufacturers (including Apple, Dell, Hitachi, HP, JVC, LG, Mitsubishi, Panasonic, Pioneer, Philips, Samsung, Sharp, Sony, TDK and Thomson).To play Blu-ray movies on computer, your computer should have a Blu-ray drive and software that are capable to read Blu-ray movie. In this article, we will show you the easiest way to transfer and play Blu-ray movies on computer, even play on iPad mini.
The software we use is Blu-ray Ripper. We use Blu-ray Ripper to decode the Blu-ray movie and encode it to an MP4 file which can be play easily on either computer or iPad mini. Now, let's see how Blu-ray Ripper works.
Step 1 Load the Blu-ray movie
Insert Blu-ray disc to your BD driver. Open Blu-ray ripper, hit the first disc icon under the menu to load your Blu-ray movie.

Step 2 Set the format for the output video
From the "Format" list, select "iPad". Here "iPad HD Video (*.mp4)" is highly recommended to you. If you prefer the output file smaller, then "iPad Video H.264 (*.mp4) " is recommended. You can also configure the settings by hitting "Settings".
As you can see from the left panel, every title in the disc is ripped separately, which means you will get a result file for a title. If the disc has 10 titles, you will get 10 result files. Note, uncheck titles that you don't want to be ripped.
So, if you want them in one file, you should check the "merge into one file" beside the "Settings".

step 3 Set the destination for the output video(s)
Browse your computer and select a location for your output video(s).

Step 4 Start ripping blu-ray movies to iPad mini
When everything is done, just go to the bottom right hand side and hit the big convert icon to start conversion. When the conversion completes, you will get the result video(s) at the location you just set. Just play it with your media player or transfer it from computer to iPad for watching. Now, enjoy!
