NC Pick 3 or otherwise known as North Carolina Pick 3 is a lottery game created to

Exact Order - the numbers match the drawn numbers in exact order.

Any Order - the numbers match the drawn numbers but they can be in any order.

50/50 - this is a combination of Exact Order and Any Order. If the numbers are drawn, you will win either way.

" Choose whether you would play for $0.50 or $1.00. But 50/50 plays are only played for $1.00.

" Decide how many days or how long you would like to play your chosen numbers. All the numbers you selected for NC Pick 3 are for the next scheduled draw but you could choose to keep your combinations at play if you choose Multi-draw or Advance Play. The Multi-draw permits you to buy the tickets for up to 7 consecutive draws as well as the current draw. The Advance Play can allow you to choose exact future draw dates up to 7 times. But this does not include the current draw.

" If you make an error in marking the slip, put a mark on the 'VOID' box in that panel. Just mark the next one.

" You can have 5 sets of numbers in one play slip, and each play you choose, you will get a single ticket.

" Examine your play slip thoroughly before buying the ticket. It is up to you to make sure you have marked the correct numbers for the draw you want to join. But if you have submitted it already, you could still have it withdrawn in the terminal. You only have that chance within 15 minutes from the time of purchase or within the remaining time of the draw break.

Let us have a review on what 3-Way and 6-Way mean. 3-Way indicates that you chose a combination that has 2 same digits. And for that reason, there are only 3 other ways to combine the chosen numbers. For example, 466, it has 466 - 664 - 646. On the other hand, 6-Way indicates that you selected 3 different numbers. With 3 unique numbers, you get 6 ways to combine the numbers. For example, 864, it has 864 - 468 - 684 - 648 - 846 - 486. The prize payouts are different for 3-Way and 6-Way. This is because there are fewer combinations for a 3-Way number, the chances of winning are longer. And so there you have it.
