Possible Causes Why One Must Quit Teaching

Quitting any profession is really hard and tough

. For this case quitting teaching is no exception. However, there are just some cases that an instructor would call it quits. On the other hand, there are some who are very reluctant to pursue such, even if they are already contemplating to proceed with it.

Because of the difficulty of quitting such a noble profession, some teachers find themselves still stuck in the context of the job. They end up being unhappy, dissatisfied and finally stressed out. If you already have this notion in mind to quit teaching, here are some serious and important reasons that you can align with yours so you can properly conclude.

Reason 1: Stress and health risks. One very important factor that can dictate a decision such as quitting teaching is the health. If you think your body is no longer able to perform teaching duties due to poor physique or a particular disease, it would be best to think yourself first. As such, it is expected that your work performance will be compromised and it is not only you who will be affected, but your students as well. Hence it would be suggested to relax until you know for sure you can be able to still get back.

Reason 2: Personal reasons. Another factor that you can take into consideration in order to quit the teaching profession is your personal stand and satisfaction. If you think you are no longer happy and satisfied with the work, it would be best to find another job. It would prove really difficult on your end if you just stay however, you are slowly killing the life out of you. Do take note that your students can also notice this and for sure your teaching performance will also fluctuate.

Reason 3: Complaints. This is another reason why you must quit teaching. Should you somehow know or assess that there are many individuals and students who are already complaining about you, it would be better to quit. However, if you think you can handle and endure the situation, even if hearsays and complaints can be thrown to you. But for individuals' who are emotionally weak, better find a new job and environment.

These are just some reasons that may trigger your permanent exit from your education profession. As such, it must be well thought because it's not just you who is involved in it but also your students and the colleagues. Hence it is no wonder that with regard to how to quit teaching is indeed hard.
