Preparatory Schools – Are They Needed In Society or Not?

Schooling is necessary part of everybody's life

. Most of the people have attended the school in his life in order to get the necessary formal education for their better future. The importance of education is well known to each and every person in India. All of them know the fact if they are not going to attend the school, then they will get deprived of the basic education that one should possess in his life. The schools form the foundation of a person's career. The direction in which one career will shape up totally depends on the fact that from where the person has done his schooling and with how much interest he has completed his education in school and college. The schooling pattern in India is divided into various levels primary, middle and secondary classes. After passing all the classes, the students have to complete the higher education and make his career.

Earlier the schools admit students from the primary level that is from class I at an age of around 6-7 years. After that the trend of nursery education started, where the student are admitted at the age of 3-4 years in nursery class. In this system, they have to study three years before they reach primary level. The classes included in the nursery class system are nursery, lower kindergarten and upper kindergarten and a child has to clear all the three classes to reach class I. But, the latest trend in the educational sector is the introduction of the preparatory schools. The preparatory schools are those in which students are admitted in the schools at the tender age of 2-3 years and made them study. After the preparatory schools, the children are made to go the nursery class, then to primary level.

The Indian society has not yet decided whether it is in favor of the preparatory schools or against it. There are many parents who are in favor of these schools while others are against these preparatory schools. There is a section of people who are not able to decide on their opinion about these schools. Those parents who are in the favor of these schools feels that their child will get in touch with the formal education a little before other children. They think if their child is going to join the preparatory schools, then he will ahead of other children in his future also as he has to face the current competitive world ahead. The parents whose are against these schools have a strong feeling that admitting a child at very tender age in schools kills the innocence and childhood of the child. They need to enjoy their childhood without any responsibility of studies which they have to take later on. The preparatory schools are good or not, it is not clear. But the choice is yours whether you want to admit your child or not in these schools, it totally depends on your thinking and beliefs.
