It's that colorful time of year again! Fall is a great time to go outside with your preschooler and explore nature

. Freshly fallen leaves can be used in a variety of easy craft activities. Use these easy preschool fall crafts to create and learn with your preschooler or toddler. Here are threee preschool easy crafts for you to enjoy!

Leaf Stamping

This is a classic quick and easy activity. These stamps make great cards- stamp one leaf on the front of blank cards from a craft store.

What you need:


A variety of freshly fallen leaves. (sturdy, no holes)

Paint - any variety of colors

Paper

Small sponge paint brush

Directions: Collect a variety of freshly fallen leaves. Avoid torn and dried out leaves. Dab brush in paint and lightly apply to a leaf. Press paint side down onto paper Keep going until you have created a work of art!

Fall Leaf Wreath

This is an easy craft project that is very pretty. Preschool children will love the whole process, from collection to completion!

What you need:

A variety of freshly fallen leaves

Paper plate

Scissors

White school glue

Ribbon

Directions: Collect 20 or more freshly fallen leaves from outside. Once inside, cut the middle from a paper plate. (Fold the paper plate in half to get the cut started. Leave approx. 2 inches around the border.) Clip the stems off of the leaves. Glue each leaf to the paper plate. Slightly overlap the leaves so the paper plate does not show. Tie the ribbon into a bow and attach it to the wreath.

Leaf Rubbings

Making leaf rubbings is a great indoor/outdoor activity. Make sure the leaves you gather are freshly fallen so they do not fall apart!.

What you need:

Gather an assortment of freshly fallen leaves

White paper

Crayons

Directions: Collect a variety of leaves in different shapes and sizes. Try to avoid dried out leaves. On a piece of white paper, position leaves vein side up. Lay another sheet of white paper over the top of the leaves. Turn a crayon on its side (remove paper) and gently rub over the top sheet of paper. The leaf image will appear on the paper.
