My 4 year old daughter was invited to a birthday party last week, it's the first party invitation she got from one of her class mates. I was feeling nervous as I didn't really know any of the mothers very well, so I wasn't planning to go but then decided it wouldn't be fair on my daughter.

The following day we went out shopping to buy the girl a present, we spent the whole day at the shopping centre but we still couldn't decided on what to buy for her. Finally after hours of wondering around, we found the perfect gift in the very last shop we went into.

We bought her a princess doll with a pink castle to go with it, just as I thought it would happen, my daughter started moaning that she doesn't have a castle. Lucky for me, there was an offer on that toy, it was buy one and get the second for half price and so I bought it for my daughter as well.

On our way home, we got stuck in quite a bit of traffic, so we decided to play I spy' to pass the time. When it was my turn, I couldn't think of anything, so I looked out the window to see if I could find anything but instead I saw a Mini for sale in Scotland.

After an hour of being stuck in traffic, we finally got home just in time for dinner. So we after we ate, we wrapped the presents and wrote in the card. Just before it was my daughter's bedtime, she played with her new toy.
