Programming Yourself To Be Self Confident (Part - 3) Your weaknesses
A weakness can be anything you want it to be, example: You can't work out what to say when someone asks you "what are your long term goals?" and the only things you can think of is, I ah! ah! haven't really thought about it. The reason you can't answer is because you haven't. So is this really a weakness or a neglect on your part to to identify what your goals are?
If you can see where I'm going with this you're halfway there, the difference between a weakness and a lack of commitment is in the way you think.
Let's start with what you think you weaknesses are!
Always write these points down on paper, I can not express how important this step is. "Writing is remembering."
List what you "think" your main weaknesses are. Don't forget anything now!
Next, ask your closest friend or partner what they think your most noticeable weaknesses are. People especially friends won't hesitate to tell you.
Divide this list into two, being a list that you know you can improve on and a second that you're not sure about.
By going this far and creating the two lists, you should be proud of yourself, I know I'm proud of you!
The first list: that you know you can improve on.
It's important to take your time with this list and really put some thought into how you are going to improve everything written here. One step at a time, I know you've heard that before but the reason you have is because it is time tested and is constantly repeated because it works.
Take the first weakness, which will probably be your greatest because it's on the top of your list. Di-sect it into smaller portions so you can deal with it easier. Don't get lazy on me now! Finish this list.
The Other List: that you're not sure about, as you complete the first list go through this list and determine if the points made are important enough to move to the first list.
One saying goes: You can please some of the people some of the time but you can't please all of them all of the time!
What they are trying to say is , we all have our weaknesses no matter what they are. Some, we have to learn to accept and live with after all we are only human.
