Prostatitis
Prostatitis is an illness that is accompanied by an infection or inflammation of the prostate gland. This condition can show up in men of any age but is usually seen in patients between 20 and 50 years of age.
The two types of prostatitis are acute and chronic. Chronic prostatitis is recurring and ongoing. Acute tends to be more passing in nature.
The symptoms of both are pain and tenderness of the prostate gland. Often accompanied by low back pain, fatigue, chills, blood or pus in the urine, fever and the flow of urine can be blocked in some more severe cases.
If the urine flow becomes obstructed it can develop into kidney problems, up to and including kidney failure. It can also cause or make worse impotence and create pain in the genitals and or anus.
Burning during urination, as well as pus from the penis after a bowel movement are other symptoms common to this affliction.
In chronic cases it can be intermittent, comes and goes. Chronic prostatitis is less severe than acute do not allow this to lull you into a false sense of well being. This is not a condition you want to mess around with the consequences of ignoring this can be severe. For example chronic prostatitis can lead to epididymitis, this is an inflammation of the tube that runs in back of the testicles, and orchitis, which is a swelling of the testicles, also it can cause a complete bladder obstruction and prostate stones.
The causes of this range from bacterial infection, principally from E. coli bacteria, the parasite Chlamydia, viral infections and fungal. Acute are mostly caused by bacterial infections, while chronic is associated with parasites, fungi, and viruses. Other causes include food allergies, low-grade dehydration, nutritional deficiencies, poor diet, too much processed foods, too much caffeine, alcohol, and the regular consumption of spicy foods, prostate enlargement and autoimmune disorders. Some can develop this disorder as a result of too much sex with too many partners. The reason for this is that sex uses enzymes and nutrients like zinc, which are needed to keep the urinary tract sterilized.
The best way to combat this is with prevention. Regular visits both digital rectal exam and if you are over 40, a blood test to check you PSA score, this looks for prostate enlargement.
There are several ways you can combat this. The essential oils bergamot, sandalwood, chamomile and tea tree oil can help to reduce the symptoms.
The herbal combinations of triphala, amla, neem and shilajit can also help to reduce the symptoms.
As far as the diet is concerned stay away from foods high in saturated fats and low in fiber. Avoid alcohol, simple carbohydrates, caffeine, sugar products, and hydrogenated and partially hydrogenated oils and fats, margarine and, again no junk and processed foods. Change your diet to organic and natural. Lots of fresh fruit and vegetables, nuts, oats, seeds, whole grains and pumpkin and sunflower seeds are especially helpful.
You may think it a difficult process to switch to organic and natural, but if you can find a good grocery that you trust the change can be simple. For example if you have a Wholefoods Market (that is its name, Wholefoods Market) then make that your new place to shop.
Reduce your consumption of red meat, but do consume ample amounts of organic, free-range poultry (turkey is preferred), bison and wild caught fish. Drink plenty of filtered water. Avoid tap water; it contains pesticides, and heavy metals.
Pine and crab apple can be good if you are having prostate issues. Echinacea, oregano oil, green tea, saw palmetto and nettle root can also be helpful. Milk thistle has the ability to help to detoxify the liver and help to improve hormone balance. And uva ursi and horsetail (herb) have very potent antiseptic abilities and should be added to the diet.
Other useful remedies are: Apis mellifica, clematis, medorrhinum, causticum, chiaphilla, thuja, sulphur, umbellate, pulsatilla.
Juice that will help is a combination of celery, cabbage, and lettuce juice. Drink 2 eight once glasses per day.
Hold off on all sexual activity and that includes masturbation. This will give the prostate a chance to renew itself and keep any infection from spreading. You will need to manage your stress levels, which can be assisted with exercise. Regularly exercise three times a week at least for 30 minutes at each session. Also drink an 8-ounce glass of water, filtered, every two hours to flush the urinary tract and keep you hydrated.
Supplements that are helpful would include, vitamins A, B3, B-complex, E, C, manganese, zinc, magnesium and beta-carotene. L-arginine is an amino acid that is recommended for this condition as well as omega-3 oils, primrose oil, eicosapentaenoic acid, alpha-lipoic acid and garlic capsules. Acidophilus, hydrochloric acid and Wobenzyme can help with the inflammation. Other helpful amino acids are glycine, alanine, glutamic acid, beta-sitosterol, rye pollen and quercitin.
One treatment is using extracts of bovine or porcine prostatic tissue taken orally or intramuscularly to provide nutrients for growth factors to the gland.
And, in addition to this the use of electronic medicine such as the Rife Digital machine or the Hulda Clark Zapper, MHz or LCD may become your greatest ally for this and so many other health challenges. I would also suggest you do the bowel, parasite, kidney and liver cleanse by Dr. Hulda Clark. The links at the end of this article can give much more information on the use of electronic medicine and the cleanses.
