Protect Your Expensive Tv With A Tv Screen Protector
A gaming console, whether it be a PS3, xBox or Wii
, can be found in most homes these days. Children absolutely love playing on them, and we love to see children enjoying themselves. The problem is that an excited child and expensive equipment are a disaster waiting to happen. There are new cases every week where children have been engrossed in their game so much that they get excited and inadvertently let go of the handset, which in turn smashes against the TV screen and damages it. It might be a scratch or it might be crack; either way, it will be expensive, or even impossible, to repair.
Unfortunately, fixing a damaged TV screen is not as simple as replacing an internal circuit board inside the television. The cost for replacing (repairs not being an option) a TV screen is often the same as purchasing a whole new television. For most of us, finding that much money is difficult at best, and quite probably impossible in the short-term. The warranty you get with your new LED, plasma or LCD TV probably does not cover accidental screen contact. Therefore, if you knock it by accident, or a child throws something at it, and the screen gets a crack or a scratch, the damage will be irreparable 90%+ of the time.
Simply telling a child to be extra careful is not going to make any difference. When you tell them, they will listen and will honestly promise to be careful, but within minutes of starting to play they forget everything they have just been told as they get totally absorbed by the game. There is a solution though, which is to use a TV screen protector. These deceptively simple pieces of equipment, which are very cheap in comparison to the cost of repairing, or even replacing a TV, are there to take the damage, whilst the TV screen behind them remains untouched.
A good TV screen protector should be at least a quarter of an inch thick, and should securely firmly to your TV. That is not to say that the protector screen should sit directly on top of the plasma screen (there should in fact be a slight gap), but that a slight knock will not cause the protector screen to fall off. TV Screen protectors are easily cleaned to remove minor scratches, dust, handprints, and smudges typically inherit in any environment. It is much easier to clean a TV screen protector than worry about damaging an expensive TV screen while cleaning it.
