Second: To imitate looks of that "perceived perfection"

They would always perceive and imagine of a situation where after the surgery they have been getting lot of complements for their new look. These expected positive reactions from other also play a substantial role in final decision making process.

As the reasons leading up to cosmetic surgery are more of psychological natures, so are its results. The success or failure of a cosmetic surgery totally depends how the patients feels about him/her after the surgery. Even if the doctors have done a wonderful job on you in terms of what was medically possible and you are not satisfied by the end result, all the pain taken would go down the drain. Not only that it will give you a depressing mood and lot of negative feeling would be around you.

Bottom line remains as the Beauty lies in beholders eyes, cosmetic surgeries are all about perception management. Their inception, success, failure all depends on psychological factors more than anything else.
