As we grow, this cartilage warps and melds and hardens to form adult bones. During puberty, cartilage growth plates located at the ends of our longer bones start to lengthen slowly. This is what contributes to the wild growth spurts we experience.

1. Exercise

Exercise do have many benefits, however you look at it. With your drive to grow taller, exercise allows production of height growth hormones. Not only this, it makes your bones strong. Regular exercise allows you to get the best of the growth spurts experienced during puberty.

Exercise also prevents you from becoming overweight. We all know that being overweight will add stress on your bones. Also, if you are thinner, you will definitely look taller than you are. One must however understand that it will now be impossible to lengthen your bones after puberty. So stretching exercises will not work anymore at this point in time.

2. Diet

Your diet should be one you should also take seriously. To prevent stunted growth in the early years, one needs the right nutrients. And only the right diet provides you with the nutrients needed for proper growth--to make you taller. Calcium for one, allows you to have healthy and strong bones.

Foods that are rich in protein, amino acids, calories, and other nutrients help give your body what it needs to have enough energy and stamina. It also aids in replenishing your body when it needs it.

3. Wardrobe

If you're an adult and wish you were taller, there are several ways you can alter your appearance to make yourself look taller.

Dress in dark and solid colors. Your shoes should have heels so that you look taller. You can also make use of height enhancing insoles for greater effect. You also have the option to wear bigger shoes, which adds to the illusion of a taller you.
