Whether a person is happy or sad or angry or apathetic can affect the health of his body

Does happiness affect your health? That is a really good question. If you really look at the bottom line, the human body it is being run by the mind, and the individual himself. In other words, the mind affects the body and the body affects the mind also. It goes both ways, but the main factor is the mind.

Something can be done about any situation, and a person who has a positive and cheerful attitude can change the prospects for survival of the body. Negative emotions such as sadness, anger, apathy, can have a negative effect on the body.

Can You Make Yourself Happy?

Fortunately, you can override everything and be happy, even if something is wrong. The point is you can create your own happiness. By having that positive and correct attitude about life, you can also positively affect your health.

Dr. Mather employs a new technology at Angel Longevity Medical Center - spiritual assists designed to help a patient overcome whatever may be causing negative emotions. The goal is to engage the spirit in helping to heal the body.

Assists to Help Healing

The spiritual assists employed at Angel Longevity Medical Center were developed by the founder of Scientology, L. Ron Hubbard. These assists are directed to the spirit only, not the body, but when the spirit is in a cheerful state, it brings about the possibility for the spirit to heal the body. Dr. Mather personally uses these assists in hew own life and has had tremendous success, even to the extent of healing fractures on her own body.

An example of such a spiritual assist would be one that is used to help the spirit and mind heal an injury. It can be any kind of injury - a broken bone or scraped knuckles or a bump on the head. It is called a "contact assist." One returns to the place where the accident occurred and gently touches the injured part of the body back to the exact spot that caused the injury. This is done in a slow and safe manner. The contact is continued until the image in the mind of the accident blows - or fades away - and the pain will also disperse.

For instance, if someone fell off of a bicycle and got a bump on the head when they hit a rock, a contact assist would be to bring the injured part of the head into contact with the rock in the exact same space where the accident happened. One would not just keep falling off a bicycle - but the contact must be in a safe and slow way so that no more injury occurs. Pain may increase for a moment but will disappear if done correctly.

The reason a person gets stuck in a sickness or illness is keeps mucking it up. The mind somehow gets an idea that an illness is of benefit to the person. For example, a child gets extra attention and love. It's not a very smart idea because he particular with a fever to keep a fever hoping for extra attention and love, but sometimes the idea gets stuck in the mind.

An assist can blow through these fixed ideas and allow the body to heal itself.
