Rent A Self Catering Apartment For Your Next Holiday

People have been traveling abroad for many years

. Previously their only choice was to stay in an hotel ranging from 1 star to 5 star. The latest craze however is to rent self catering apartments which works out cheaper and more practical.

I had always hated using hotels, but it had never occurred to me to rent a self catering apartment and I would not have known where to start looking anyway. Then my friend returned from her holiday in Ibiza and told me about the fantastic time she had. She raved about how relaxed it was when renting a self catering apartment.

There are not many hotels that can accommodate a family of eight in one room, we always had to pay for extra rooms which made the price extremely expensive. Hotels also have strict rules about taking food and drink up to the rooms. The kids can also be quite nosy at times as well, and it was never a proper holiday for me as I was always waiting for someone to complain about the noise.

A friend then suggested that I rented a self catering apartment or villa instead. Apparently they had moved on in terms of modern designs, space and practicality. I decided to look further into her suggestion and found so many sites through the search engine called Google. A lot of the sites were for rent from people who had bought property abroad and rented it out to cover the running costs.

There was so many apartments to rent. Some had luxury bathrooms with a Jacuzzi, others had kitchens with dishwashers and microwaves. All of them also had spacious bedrooms that were tastefully decorated. I liked the idea of having a kitchen as this meant we did not have to go out every night to eat. A family of eight eating in restaurants every night can be very expensive.

I already knew that Ibiza was the next destination for our family holiday, so I narrowed down my search to approximately 50 apartments to choose from. As soon as I spotted the one I wanted, I made the reservation. I did not have to pay online as the money would be given at the accommodation reception. I also decided to treat myself by booking a cleaner. She was going to come in and clean up which meant I could spend more time entertaining the kids.

The apartment that I rented for that holiday was a four bedroom apartment and it really did make a difference to the quality of our holiday. I did not have to set the alarm and get everyone up in case we missed the breakfast slot. Instead we woke up when we wanted to and had breakfast on the balcony.

For your next holiday, I strongly advise choosing a self catering apartment to rent. There are thousands of them on the Internet for nearly every country in the world. Swap from booking an hotel to a self catering apartment and it will definitely make your holiday one to remember. All members of the family become so relaxed and enjoy their time. I have booked myself apartment for our holiday next year. I would never dream of using an hotel again.
