Residential Energy Audit A Must For Checking Energy Consumption

It is called by different names like Home Energy Assessment, Comprehensive Home Assessment, Home Performance Assessment, Energy Audit etc. Energy Audits are conducted to assess the amount of energy being consumed in the house. By doing so, one can detect the flaws in the electrical appliances being used. Moreover, Home Energy Assessment checks various areas of the house to find the place where more energy is being used. The result help people to take necessary measures to reduce energy consumption and make the house energy efficient. Since about 10 per cent of the total used energy is consumed by the lighting equipments, it is required that those bulbs which consume less power should be used. Use of CFL bulb is highly recommended as it consumes less power. Moreover, Installation of photovoltaic cells on the roof can help in utilising the solar energy, thus cutting the energy consumption.
