Resign From Teaching: Various Areas You Can't Deal Anymore

Do you have to give up on teaching this time? Are the factors large enough for you

to decide on quitting? Are you ready to excuse yourself from such a noble profession?

Quitting from teaching can be a very hard decision for any teaching personnel out there. But when we consider their current financial standing, we can surely understand where their actions come from. In addition, we can't blame them for deciding since we all know that teachers are underpaid. If you happen to have a clear yes on resigning from teaching, perhaps these are the things that you will surely miss and absolutely can't find at another workplace environment. Be sure to consider these before turning in your resignation.

Thing # 1: Diversity of individuals. Your students change from a school year to a semester. Often, they come and go without us noticing the time. This would be one thing you will surely miss after you resign from teaching. In a common workplace, you normally see the same old faces. They often remain for years and you'll stick with the same group of people and the same set of friends. This is different in a school where you can learn new types of people and get to meet them as well. This helps you to develop your network and gain more friends in the end.

Thing # 2: Flexible time. Teaching does not necessarily mean 8-9 hours of work. In fact you can simply come to the school when you have classes and do some teacher related works like making lessons, meetings or checking papers. This is one great benefit for teachers. They normally do not spend most of their time at school. Compared to other professions where people are always glued to their office chair, stuck in the same working environment for a fixed time every day. Thus, you can utilize some of your time to more important matters like your family and friends.

Thing # 3: More holiday. Holidays would be another thing you can't surely come back once you leave teaching. Most of the time, the education system and schools are dependent on national holidays, including summer vacation and even local events. Most studies are off and so are the schools during Christmas and New Year, how much more during the summer. Thus you only not get the weekends off but also more vacation mode on your end. This is something that other professions can't offer.

These are just some of the things that you certainly will lose and can not go back to when you decide to leave the teaching profession. More or less, there are actually many things that you can do while being a teacher. Therefore, spend some time and thoughts before you finally resign from teaching.
