JOB TITLE: Retail Durable Medical Equipment Sales Floor Manager
JOB STATEMENT:
Responsible for supervising, training, and developing floor sales representatives. Promotes, sells and secures new business accounts. Assists clients with product or service selection. Works with purchasing to assure product selection and inventory levels are appropriate to the client needs including but not limited to the Urolocial, intermittent catheter, cpap, repsiratory, oxygen, mastectomy depatments. Participates in management meetings and maintains records and reports as required.

JOB DUTIES:
Supervises, trains, and develops floor sales staff.
Assist and guide clients in handling and developing orders and solving problems.
Sell technical equipment to clients with specialized needs and suggests additional purchases.
Assist clients in the selection and fittings of medical products.
Enforce telephone answering procedures on the retail floor.
Assure records are maintained as required by Management and that all paperwork and reports are completed in an accurate, timely manner.
Assure cash transaction accountability.
Assure that staff is trained on Medicare/Medicaid and third party payer information.
Handle all difficult problem clients and situations that may arise.
Assure staff is trained in fittings and products.
Assure shelves are adequately stocked, dusted, priced, and inventory levels maintained.
Assure that retail area is clean, orderly, and merchandised in an attractive, efficient manner.
Assure window areas are attractive, clean, and merchandising potential is utilized.
Assure floor products are rotated and dead stock problems eliminated.
Work with other managers to promote sales.
Attend management meetings as scheduled.
Perform any additional duties as required by supervisor.
JOB SPECIFICATION:
Education: High School diploma with further medical related training preferable.
Skills, Knowledge or Abilities Required:
Requires knowledge of the Home Medical Equipment industry, medical terminology and health insurance. Must have sales ability. Possesses the ability to communicate clearly, both written and verbally. Must have excellent interpersonal skill and be able to work at a fast pace while remaining in control with the situation being dealt with. Must be able to supervise others and plan, organize, and implement activities. Possesses the ability to deal effectively with all levels of employees, clients, and business contacts.
