Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival Tickets - 2010's Lineup Will Get Your Head Banging

Heavy rock fans have a lot to look forward to at this year's Mayhem Festival

. The annual event, which has been running for two years straight now, brings some of the heaviest of metal acts to cities across the country. As a touring festival, it has an advantage over other major summer festivals in that it can hit multiple locations, and roams pretty widely on the two coasts and all the space in-between.

If you're a metal fan, you won't want to miss out. Below is a list of the headliners who are playing this year.

Korn: Korn have struggled through intense challenges since their 1994 self-titled debut. They broke into the mainstream with 1996's "Follow the Leader," and have been a mainstay of hard rock ever since. The band been up for a Grammy six times, and won twice, for both "Freak on a Leash" (probably their best known single) as well as "Here to Stay." Needless to say, they were an easy pick to headline the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival this year, and will undoubtedly be a hot draw.

Rob Zombie: A major figure in hard rock since his days in White Zombie, Rob Zombie is now probably known as an object of cult horror fans' adoration as much as for his driving, dark music. Zombie broke out on his own in 1998 with the solo record "Hellbilly Deluxe," but spent much of the '00s redefining himself as a director and screenwriter of grisly, gory fare such as "House of 1000 Corpses" and "The Devil's Rejects." This year, he's back to making music, and will be gracing the stage with his infernal presence.

Lamb of God: Formed in 1994, Lamb of God are one of the hottest, young metal acts around. The band's steady rise to fame paid off in 2006 with a Grammy nomination for "Sacrament," a record that was highly celebrated in headbanger circles. They're considered at the head of the class when it comes to the genre of New Wave of American Heavy Metal, and their music has a heavy debt to buzzing thrash and the blaring sound of Pantera.

Five Finger Death Punch: As one of the youngest bands on the lineup, Five Finger Death Punch might not carry as much weight when you see them up against established hard rock acts like Korn. But don't let their relative ages fool you: This is a metal act with some muscle, and they've been gaining a steady foothold among listeners since forming in 2005. They played on the Mainstage a few years back when the Mayhem Festival was just getting off the ground in 2008, and fortunately for fans, they're going to be rocking out yet again.
