Rupinder Khurana: An Editor With A Leading Media Group

There are many individuals in this world who instead of following the crowd

, choose to listen to their own heart. It can be safely said that Rupinder Khurana, a content editor by profession is one such individual who decided to pursue something that was his own calling in life.

Born and brought up in Delhi, Rupinder did his schooling from one of the top public schools in Delhi. While his father is a qualified chartered accountant who works in a top MNC in Gurgaon, his mother teaches English in a reputed Delhi school. Belonging to a financially well-off family didnt mean he got everything on a platter. In fact it was the middle-class values that his parents inculcated in him that kept him grounded. After scoring good marks in class tenth, his parents and especially his father wanted him to take up commerce. Himself being a CA, he had thought that the profession will not only help Rupinder earn a decent living but will suit him perfectly well. Rupinder Khurana however was not very keen to take up commerce. He wanted to study humanities. However, he didnt go against his father wish and took up commerce.

After appearing in the board exams and coming out with flying colours, once again the similar conflict arose. By then Rupinder had discovered his true love in life which was writing. He had found out that its the writing that excited him the most and that is what he wants to do in life. His father however wanted him to enroll for the CA course. This time he stood his ground and made his wish clear and what he wanted to do in life. That did make his father a bit worried but seeing his enthusiasm and upon discovering that his child has a natural flair for writing, he relented. Rupinder enrolled into the English (H) course in a reputed DU college.

The course helped him develop a strong grasp over the English language and helped build him a strong vocabulary. After the course, Rupinder Khurana went on to pursue a course on Journalism in which he chose to specialize in print journalism. After completing his course he got his first job with sports magazine where he worked for 2 years. After that, he moved to leading media group and is since than writing and editing articles for a well-known newspaper. Happily married, Rupinder is happy with the choices that he made in life.
