Created by American rapper David Banner, along with Mike Weiss, Nick Weidenfeld, and Jacob Escobedo, the cartoon centered around the Beauregards, a dysfunctional, white family that embody the spirit associated with the Old South. The tagline given by Cartoon Network describes the cartoon as such - "The Beauregard family, much like their Mississippi mansion, is falling apart. Lets face it pensions are as sexy as a politician and I for one would rather suck a sweet with the wrapper on than delve into excessive reading on the subject.

Remember however, they are an extremely tax efficient way to save. Hammerson is down 84% from its high in 2006, British land down a mere 78%. Remembering of course that SIPPs pension schemes can be complicated, although they look fairly straightforward on paper. By setting up a SIPPs scheme, you are committing yourself to managing your own funds and being entirely responsible for the progress and success of your pension fund. This is a big step, and one that should only be taken after consulting an independent pensions adviser with your Free Brochure details.

A SIPPs pension can provide you with the flexibility to manage your own scheme. As of April 6 2006, not only will you be able to invest cash in your SIPPs pension, but you will also be able to hold property in your SIPPs fund. You will get tax relief up to a certain level of funds, and charges for SIPPs pensions are generally less than those for company pension plans, with often significantly better fund performance.

The SIPP Trustees can borrow from a commercial lender to buy commercial property. The amount that can be borrowed is a maximum of 50% of the net asset value of the SIPP immediately prior to the borrowing and will take into account any existing borrowing. The borrowing limits are set by HMRC.

It is possible to purchase a property jointly between a number of individuals provided they all have SIPPs from with the same provider. However, monies cannot be borrowed to lend to a connected Company.

It is possible for a SIPP to lend money to an unconnected third party. Up to 50% of the SIPP's total funds can be loaned. The term of the loan may not be any longer than 5 years, although a loan can be rolled over once, subject to there being sufficient security i.e. first charge over assets which have greater than or equal value to the loan amount. Interest must be charged at a minimum of 1% above base rate rounded up to the nearest 0.25%. The loan must be repaid over the term. The repayments must include capital as well as interest.

If funds are released to a connected party, this is considered an unauthorized payment.
