Salt Lake City New Car, The Toyota Ft-86, Is Coming Soon

Coming to a showroom near you: the Toyota FT-86! (Well

, sort of soon, anyway.)

Toyota dealers are excited that the company has promised to deliver this new model will arrive on time -- November 2011.Dealers of Salt Lake City new cars believe this concept car will be popular.

This hot sports model will apparently keep it concept look and will even be affordable. That's something the auto industry rarely sees and we hope Toyota delivers. The Japanese automaker says production of the FT-86 is on schedule and the coupe will be able to stay at an affordable price according to Shigeyuki Hori, a Toyota official in charge of sports models.

Buyers of Salt Lake City new cars are going to be pleased with an estimated price for the FT-86 at about $29,000. This is for the standard engine and equipment, but still-- it's a concept sports car! What a bargain!

There will not be a hybrid version to begin with, but there will be a supercharged engine in the coupe and that should satisfy most sports car enthusiasts. Sadly, we don't have many details about the FT-86, so those coveting the model will just have to drool over the concept specs and hope that's what they get when it comes on the market next year.

Toyota has also done something else unusual regarding this model--they have partnered with Subaru to help develop it and that's a move that Tadashi Yamashina, Toyota Sports Division President, promises will have an "exceptional" outcome.

Sports car fans and buyers of Salt Lake City new cars certainly hope so since they have been teased with the concept and now promised just that. But if Toyota's past is any indication, customers need not worry. After their huge run of recall woes earlier this year the company promised to make things right with their customers and then set about doing it. So far, customer feedback and sales statistics indicate Toyota has not suffered much reputation-wise.

The company's sales set some records in the past few months and now recent reports by the Wall Street Journal hint that the government investigation may agree with Toyota's own-- that there was no electronic problem with the acceleration on Prius models and that driver error may be to blame.

Toyota, in the meantime, is staying busy racking up awards and honors for its current models and has even begun test driving for the new Plug-in Prius, which will be available for purchase in the United States in just a few months. Salt Lake City new car dealers will be excited to get this model on the lot as well and Prius fans will love it!
