Launching of two new models Samsung Galaxy 5 and Samsung Galaxy 3 is new marketing
strategy by the manufactures of the Samsung mobile phones to attract the phone lovers at large. The i5800 Galaxy 3 is aimed at the younger, social networking market and the i5500 Galaxy 5 would appeal to the style-conscious customers. Both the phones use the same operating system of Android 2.1 and support the Bluetooth 2.1.
The connectivity of this handset is quite strong for all the quad bands of GSM networks as well as for the HSDPA network.
The handset comes with 2.8 inch Quarter VGA TFT capacitive touchscreen display which has the resolution of 240 x 320 pixels.
The device is fitted with 2 MP FF camera and has facility to play videos in the formats of MPEG4, H.263 and H.264. MP3 music player can play the music in all the formats like- MP3, ACC, ACC+ and eACC+. It comes with a 3.5 mm ear jack and FM radio with RDS.
Network connectivity support ranges from 2.5G 850/900/1800/1900MHz to 3G HSDPA 7.2 MB/s900/2100 MHz.
