Samsung SGH-D980 Review - Attractive Navigation by:Jerry Smith

Technology that two sim cards get their places in one single phone and can switch on simultaneously has its origin in China

. As one of the leading phone makers of the world, Samsung is the first to introduce this kind of mobile phones. This technology helps users, especially businessmen, of course, get rid of the trouble of changing sim cards or even mobile phones when they travel among different countries. But phones with this special feature don't mean there will be some loss in the market. Viewed from the display and the ability of this phone, the new Samsung device looks different with this kind of phone on the market - Samsung touch wiz as called.

Viewed from the design and size it is much like the Samsung Tocco F480 - 97.5 x 55 x 16.3 mm in size and 117g in weight, compact and elegant. A phone with full touch screen, it is equipped with a navigation button plus the answer button and the end button below the screen. There is also a volume key and a shortcut button for camera as all other mobile phones do these days. The other equipments in this phone are very standard, such as a music player, FM Radio, Bluetooth, and also facilities to make delivery of data or images with A2DP capabilities.

This is a full touch screen. There is only a virtual keypad offered. Keys of 10mm size make it very easy to operate the keypad}. And if you want more precise results, a stylus pen is provided.

Music

According to information, music is not the Samsung D980 focuses on. However, various music formats can be played on this handset, such as MP3, AAC, and AAC +. Navigation facilities are to include the repeat mode, shuffle, and also selection effects with multitasking capabilities.

Camera

The Samsung D980 is the first mobile phone equipped with a 5 Mpix camera resolution and video recording capabilities in line-up DuoS. Facilities featured on the Samsung D980's camera are almost the same with those in the Samsung i8510 Innov8. Various features are included - timer, white balance, ISO to 400, macro, face detection, anti shake and the wide dynamic range.

Although it is not a 3G phone, the Samsung D980 has internet facilities and very comfortable emailing and instant messaging capacity. Apparently the Samsung D980 will be welcome especially by those who need two phones - one for family use and the other for business use.
