Consider the following things: MS SQL Server DB Platform, Versions and Patches (service packs), GL, MRP, Inventory, CRM, AR, AP and other modules with premium functionality. Q. Could you give us an idea about price level?

A. We recommend you to think about the price level of a passenger car. It is definitely higher that three thousand dollars. But at the same time it is not hundred thousand. Q. We are trying to pick either Business One or Dynamics GP. We have simple manufacturing operations or better to name it assembly on order, five folks in AR, AP and accounting all together. We also plan to deploy CRM only for two sales guys. And three people will be working with application in the assembly warehouse. What would you pick in our case?

A. Based on your information both systems should be able to do the job. Dynamics GP has various add-ons available directly from Microsoft. B1 also has add-ons through ISV channel. Probably the cost of ownership and implementation of SAP B1 would be lower. They are direct competitors. You should base your decision on the available budget as well as which system covers required functionality without being modified
