Sap Business One Case Studies And Recommendations

If your organization is in process of new ERP system selection and SAP B1 is on your

list we would like to share with you several case studies and give our opinion. This publication is not a technical paper as it is rather fresh air sharing with prospects. First of all lets mention that this application besides standard in such cases GL, AP, AR and Inventory modules has also discrete production, warranty contracts, MRP, Human Resources and CRM (Sales Opportunities). So you can judge by the set of modules if you see your requirement potentially met. New table gets direct data feed from external application via HTTP post and then in Software Development Kit programmed logic transfers sales orders with details to real sales orders for further processing. Customer statement is designed in Crystal Reports

3.Warehouse Gates for Trucks sales and service. Here every year customer needed catalog update with parts obsolescence and replacement logic. This was realized in Data Transfer Workbench with connection to parts SQL database via ODBC connection updating existing item price, adding new items and marking some of them as obsolete

4.Precise equipment renting in Business-to-Business scenario. Here emphasis was made on Service module with technician case log including warranty expenses either covered or billable to the customer. As rentals remain on your balance sheet special warehouse was created and items were transferred there as transferred to technician and upon expiration as received from technician

5.Medical Supplier to Hospitals. This industry is under strict regulation. Business One with its serial and lot numbering logic and reasonably advanced picking and packing and shipping and receiving logic and very reasonable price did the job

6.General recommendations. This application is a good fit for businesses with simple manufacturing and distribution activity as well as engaged in servicing sector. The fact that this ERP application is localized in major world regions including Europe, Russia, China, Latin America and Brazil makes it natural choice for mid-size multinational company as well as large corporation with mySAP as headquarters ERP and Business One realized in the foreign subsidiaries
