SPED is a web-based system that consolidates the receipt, validation, storage, and authentication of corporate, commercial, and tax records and documents. SPED comprises three sub-projects: Accounting SPED, Tax SPED, and the Electronic Tax Invoice (NF-e). The aim of the system is to integrate the action of the tax authorities on the federal, state, Federal District, and municipal tax levels by sharing accounting and tax information, thus expediting the identification of tax offenses

2.Taxpayers benefit in several ways, including less paperwork, rationalization and simplification of tax obligations, the elimination of tax audits, expedition of procedures controlled by the Tax Administration, and an enhanced competitive edge with a decrease in tax evasion

3.You might think that the idea is pretty good and we agree. However could you imagine how difficult is to implement something like these in accounting software? The application should be able to produce XML files, connect to government hosted servers and transmit the data. And of course you do not want to play with transmission as this is the area where you can face sanctions and audit in the case of inaccuracy

4.Lets talk about SAP Business One related to Brazilian localization. User interface is available in Brazilian Portuguese in core version (no add-ons required). You can associate language with the named user as well as switch directly in client application. When you decide to do internal audit then you simply switch to English. SPED support is available through add-on developed in ISV channel. Returning back to Multilanguage support good point is the fact that interface is also available in such popular destinations as Chinese, Spanish, Russian, Korean just to open the list

5.What is the competition? We would like to mention that Business One is probably the only popular offer for small and mid-market companies from brand names. Microsoft Dynamics AX is in progress to support SPED but it is rather for larger companies. There is locally programmed package Microsiga but if you are multinational corporation then you probably want unification in each international office
