School Blues: What Course to Take?
Getting a college degree is important
Getting a college degree is important. For those who are not decided yet, here's a piece of advice: start paying attention to your skills and interests in as early as getting in junior high. That will really help you out in filling up that college application form and eventually getting a job that you will not just be profiting from but you will happily grow old with.
Just think about what a good future it will be for you, and well, for your family and maybe future kids. Obviously, college grads are far most successful than those who have not reached this stage of formal schooling. Of course, there are some that have persisted well enough to make names for themselves. However, you should be careful in choosing the course that you will enroll in.
Degree plays a big part in your considerations. Most, if not all, are after financial freedom when taking a job, and being professionally employed means having graduated. Bear in mind that there are graduate school degrees like Masters and Doctorate. Both of which can be obtained after acquiring the Bachelor's degree. The higher degree you reach, higher your position can get, and the pay as well.
Some of the top degree choices are those that involves technical, logical and physical-activity courses. This includes Engineering, Architecture, Fine Arts, Medical Science, Business, Sports Science and Political Science. On the other hand, Communication Arts, Literature, English, Music and Religion are the least selected majors. For the record, the highest paying jobs are those that are brought about by engineering courses such as chemical, computer, electrical, electronics and communication and civil, most especially if you are licensed. Also those of accountancy, economics, finance, business administration and marketing are paying professionals highly.
Last on the roll, your academic degree and your future would also depend (in a way) on your chosen school. Top schools of the country have their own specialties. Try to get into the university where the expertise is known. Note that the name is also a great part as it brands you. Since the school's name and reputation is already established, being part of the institution makes you part of that label as well. During job applications, you can be labeled as a more preferred applicant among others.
Now start thinking things over. You've got the basics and now it's your turn to decide.
