. Today animation is an integral part of the Bollywood film industry, every year there are good number of releases in the 3D animation format. It can be observed that most of these movies are primarily meant to appeal the younger generation specially the kids, but they end up bringing in the viewers of all age groups.

There was a time when the road to Bollywood was through a film school or institute only wherein you were taught on different aspects of film making like acting, direction, editing, cinematography, choreography and so on and so forth, but now a new element has been added to the whole process and that is animation. Today being trained in animation also ensures a ticket to Bollywood. Visual effects have always been a part of movies but animation takes it all together to a new level. It is important to point out that even visual effects are also a byproduct of animation training.

When trained professionals boost their knowledge with new findings in the technical field it becomes a kind of energy booster for their career.

There are several options under animation training from which an individual can choose, starting from short term certificate courses, diploma programmes to advanced diplomas and even bachelors degree. Currently a masters degree in animation is not available in India. Animation is a completely computer aided process and it also attracts attention of students who have a knack for computer technologies. The computer manufacturing units are also optimizing technologies related to animation in order to popularize their products. The graphics card available in the computer is directly proportional to the amount of animation related activities in which the users engage. Software manufacturing units are also making a kill because of animation. The market is everyday flooded with new animation related software.
