Scrapbook Layout Ideas

Creating scrapbooks is a great way of preserving memories

. There are too many scrapbook layout ideas to count. When it comes to scrapbooking, the sky is the limit. Use photos, embellishments, and craft punches for maximum effect.The following ideas should work with an 8X8 or 12X12 scrapbook paper.

1. Pick two 4X6 photos. Lay one 4X6 photo vertically on the left and place another 4X6 horizontally on the right. Place a title and subtitle above the photos. Decorate the surrounding photos with embellishments. Use craft punches to decorate.

2. Pick one 5X7 or 8X10 and center the photo. Use border punches to decorate and embellishments to bring out the colors in the photo. Place the title below the photo.

3. Choose two 4X6 photos. Lay them vertically. Place the title of the page in between the photos. Journal below the photos. Decorate with embellishments and craft punches on the top of the page.

4. Use smaller photos for scrapbook layout ideas. You know those sizes you just don't know what to do with like 3.5 inche photos or smaller? Those could be used as a scrapbook layout.

Don't forget the small events for inspirational scrapbook layout ideas. A day at the park, a picnic, a weekend at grandma's house, or an extracurricular activity. Of course pictures taken at Christmas, Easter, birthdays, Halloween, and religious celebrations can be great sources of ideas. The picture taken with Santa Claus or the Easter bunny can be a great central theme for a scrapbook page.
