Shaklee is one of the longest established Network Marketing companies around today. They have a strong focus on customer care and caring for the planet on which we live.

Shaklee gives the impression of a trustworthy company built on good ethics. You can see that they focus heavily on being environmentally friendly in as many ways as they can. All of their products are geared towards being 'green'. Their main offices in Pleasanton, California are built from environmentally materials believe it or not! The building is also pretty impressive if you look at their pictures. They are setting a high goal post in the industry for others to aspire to.

A Doctor Forrest Shaklee founded the company all the way back in 1956. Back in 1915 this man invented one of the world's first ever multi vitamin pills. Dr Shaklee actually played quite an important role in the development if the nutrition supplement industry moved by word of mouth recommendations.

Since then the company has gone from strength to strength with over 750,000 reps of which around 1,600 have earned in excess of $1 million in commissions.

Interestingly this company was awarded the Climate Neutral qualification which means that they have significantly reduced their emissions of carbon dioxide so they are not negatively affecting the environment in any way. Green is certainly their favourite colour.

But what about their customers?

There are plenty of products to choose from, all of good quality. They cater for supplementation products for the human body, skin care, anti aging, weight loss and also products for using around the home. Shaklee like their products to be 'always safe, always work and always green'.

It's not too expensive to get involved with Shaklee, the cost of joining as a distributor is anything from $39.95 up to $750, so it's reachable for most. Higher up the compensation plan the company will reward your with flash cars and send you off on exotic holidays.

We have just gone over some of the very basic points about this company, but all I'm seeing here is a legitimate network marketing company, not a scam as some may say. With plenty of respect for the environment and their customers and distributors, Shaklee seem to be setting good standards in the industry for all to follow.

A common issue in the network marketing business is that a large majority of the people involved haven't received the training that they need to make it big. This leads to a massive failure rate and a whole horde of disgruntled ex distributors, people then start talking, stories are told and one thing leads to another. It's a fact that some who don't succeed may just palm the whole thing off as a con because it didn't work for them. This can lead to a wrong tarnishing of a company or the Network Marketing industry as a whole.
