I'd like to invite you to go to a mirror, either now or after reading this. Sit maybe a foot away from the mirror and just like gaze directly into your own eyes for 1 minute. Imagine you have "left your body" and were observing it from outside of yourself looking at your form.
Sit and observe your face without making judgments about how you look or anything else. Just gaze objectively into your face. Sometimes your mind will project images over your face, or everything but what you are looking at might go dark, or other optic illusions may occur but do not put attention on that. Focus your attention on gazing into the pupil of one eye, preferably the left eye.
As you gaze into your eye, peer deep into yourself. Like if you really wanted to know if someone was telling the truth, you would look into their eyes, in the same way gaze into your own eye...like you were looking deep into a tunnel. Look for one minute asking yourself this question: Who am I? Then close your eyes and listen within the silence.
After gazing for no more than 10 minutes (in a few 1 or 2 minute sessions), rub the palms of your hands vigorously and then palm your eyes and feel the warmth of your hands going into your eyes. This tends to replenish your eyes and sooths them. Email us your experience.
