Self Defense Weapons

"There are certain states in the country that have legalized self defense and there are even weapons invented just for this purpose alone

. Self defense included the use of everyday weapons when the gadgets we see today have not been invented. These weapons have made it possible to remove the necessity of explaining it in the court of law nor the need for the proof. When one uses this self defense weapon, the assumption was that the purpose was for self defense. Of course, it can also be abused.

But just to be clear on this, let us first define the term. This is defined as causing bodily injury or sometimes even death to another person deliberately. Killing someone intentionally isn't justified, unless he needed to do it because there was a serious threat on his safety. But it won't be self defense if he himself was to blame for starting the fight. Causing injuries on another person isn't considered self defense unless he believes that he had to do it to prevent that person from hurting him. Again, it won't be self defense if he himself was the one who started the fight.

Just what are these weapons of self defense we're talking about? An example is a device that emits an ear piercing sound that can ward off an attacker. A safety pin controls it. So when one removes the safety pin, the piercing sound is released which can be heard from a considerable distance. This way, people from the area will be warned and the attacker will panic. Thus, ruining the plans of the attacker.

Another is the pepper spray which would could cause a serious irritation on the eyes, thus, disorienting the attacker.

There is also another type of spray which emits a dye that doesn't come off for a good number of days. Identification of the assailant based on this mark is the main purpose.

Then there's the stun gun which produces a high voltage electrical charge that shocks the attacker, leaving the attacked person the chance to run. Today, there are different voltages being employed. This kind of device needs one to be close enough to the assailant so that you can shock him on the exposed skin.

A taser gun is a varation of a stun gun. This shoots two darts in to the attacker and then releases the charge. The difference of a taser gun from a stun gun is that you don't have to be close to the attacker to shock him and the darts can easily pierce the clothes that he is wearing.
