We'd all love to buy a new Mobile Phone - wouldn't we

? Of course, that's the right thing to do, move ahead with technology. But, then again we all make one huge mistake - we either dump the old ones in our closet or in the dump yard.

Many of us consider old mobile phones as crap and that they have no value whatsoever - could we be more wrong? But, fortunately or unfortunately, due to the harder economic times of today, people are looking for ways to get as much cash as possible. One of the ways is by selling old phones.

There are plenty of online stores as well as local stores that buy old mobile phones and either give you cash or a discount on another newer model.

Now that we've got some extra cash and have successfully either sold our old mobile or put it up for recycling, let's take a look at what you should consider before buying a new phone:

Technology

When choosing the right mobile phone, you need to think of technology - GPRS technology is the most common of the lot. Through this technology you would be able to assess the internet, receive email messages and alerts on your mobile phone and do a lot more. Therefore, if you're in search of a mobile for these purposes, make sure to use a GSM network.

Picking the kind of handset

When it comes to picking the right handset, it's only the fashion sense that needs to be considered. There are various designs and configurations that you would have to pick from such as the candy bar format which consists of long and slim mobiles and the QWERTY format that has a bit broader phones.

Flip phones and slider phones are another great option as they are small and their screens and keypads are large - because, they can be folded when not in use (Hence their small size at this time).

Smartphones would be what you need if you plan to work using your mobile. Because using them you would be able to edit and create new word, excel and various other documents that are needed for office work.

Memory and screen display

Some of the models only allow 16GB external memory - it's perfect for most users, but there are people who need much more space.

So, when picking mobile phones, choose the perfect one. It may be a bit expensive, but you could make it cost less by selling your old model first.
