Part of selling your house quickly is to have it move-in ready. This is critical in attracting the right client. Most clients like to move in their things and settle down. They tried to avoid dealing with fixing and updating a property they just purchased.

One of the first things to do is move most if not all of your stuff to a storage location or your new home. This includes furniture, picture frames, clothes, an other decorations. The main reason is that these are personal things that suit your taste and may not be agreeable with someone looking to buy a home. Removing most of your stuff will open up your house and make it look roomy and will allow prospective buyers to imagine their things in the home. The next thing to do is paint the wall and clean the carpet. Pay a professional to paint the walls and make sure to choose a neutral color. If your doing the painting yourself, then make sure you do the detail work right. This includes covering any nail holes and doing minor patches. When painting, use tape to get nice edges and always remove any fixtures to avoid painting over them. Once the walls are clean then clean the floors and the carpet. If the carpet is worn, then replace with a new neutral carpet. Otherwise, steam cleaning the carpet is the next best option.

A deep cleaning that covers all of the cracks and crevices should follow. The bathroom should be spotless and without stains. If necessary, re-grout the tile and re-do the caulking. In the kitchen, all appliance should be clean and spotless.

The last thing that should be done is changing the fixtures. This could all locks, door handles, and outlets. This added touch makes the house updated without spending too much money. You will see a return on your investment when you sell the house quickly.

When people purchase a new home, most don't want to deal with getting the house ready to move in. This should be the task of the seller. The seller should do everything within his or her budget to make the house look like no one has lived there before. This will sell the house quickly.
