Sensex India Mirror Of The Indian Stock Market

The Indian stock market is incomplete without the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE)

, a pioneer in facilitating stock trading in India. The stock exchange has been instrumental in changing the very capital market scenario of the country. The growth that the capital market has witnessed during the initial stage and until now is all a result of the money raised by the BSE from the public. It is the BSE sensex or Sensex India as is named to identify the Indian market index that exhibits the performance of the BSE companies besides exhibiting the share prices.

Transactions in the BSE market takes place through two different financial markets, viz. primary market and secondary market. Companies directly issue stocks to the investors and the transactions are handled by stock brokers appointed by the company. This is the case of primary markets. In case of secondary markets it is stock brokers who hold shares of companies listed on the BSE market. These shares are issued to the investors for trading; of course consent of the concerned company is taken into account. Both the primary and secondary markets do have a marked influence on the Indian economy. The BSE sensex exhibits the performance of both the markets. No matter whether you as an investor are involved in trading in the primary market or secondary market, do watch the sensex index regularly for any changes in the stock prices.

The BSE is the first stock exchange in India and the second in the world to get the prestigious ISO 9001:2000 accreditation. In addition, it is ISO 27001:2005 certified. BSE also happens to be the first in India and second in the world to receive Information Security Management System Standard BS 7799-2-2002 certification for its BSE On-Line trading System (BOLT).

Sensex India is the first and most popular benchmark index in India. The BSE sensex also exhibits Exchange traded funds (ETF) listed on the BSE as well as in Hong Kong. Besides, the BSE serves as a platform for trading of futures and options on the index. No matter what your trading goals are, you can gain if you invest in BSE companies that have maintained a consistent growth record. Not all BSE companies perform well; there are developing companies as well that bear the brunt of market volatility. Investors are directly affected in their trading ventures.
