Sex Education Among Kids

Many of you think that your kids would go the wrong way if they are educated about sex

. But ignorance about sex is far more dangerous than sex guidance. After all, someone has to take up the challenge.In the absence of sex-education at school or home, let there be display of audio cassettes which should be followed by video cassettes. Whatever the student has heard and, at a latter stage, when video cassettes are played, he would be able to correlate the audio and video versions.Teenagers think having sex at younger age makes them adults. Never do most of them think of the greater responsibilities and risks that come along with teenage, premarital and unprotected sex. Unfortunately, consequences and events can transpire before teenagers realize the danger and disadvantage of engaging in unprotected sex.

Therefore, when they need to start it, they start looking at the corners. Nevertheless, your parents have never made a conversation with you on this issue but you can educate your kids right now to change this negative habit.First of all, if our message about sex is "It's dirty, evil and forbidden-and by the way, save it for someone you really love," we will never be able to compete with the alluring "let yourself go!" and "if it feels good do it!" messages of Hollywood and pornographers.24% of females and 43% of males said they got their sex education from personal experience or experimentation. 20% of males and 32% of females learned about sex from friends. Most of the remainder got their education from books, magazines, and TV. None of the women and only 4 of the men in the survey listed the Internet as a source of their sex education.

If we go and watch a movie today it never finishes without a steaming scene between the reel characters. You ask them and they justify their act by saying that they have no inhibitions in showing their beauty or personality. If that is so, do we expect them to make love in front of their real-life kids??? If not, then why on screen where they are watched by millions of kids and teenagers who take them as their real life idols.The problem found its biggest catalyst in the sixties under the guise of the "sexual revolution". It is important to realize that it is the generation of youth in the sixties who are making the policy decision today. That generation steeped themselves in anti-authority rhetoric; it should come as no surprise that they now rail against parental involvement.

Abstinence education will always be handicapped in a society that insists from every quarter that free sex is the only way to live. Until our movies, music, television, and magazines reflect a level of sexual maturity beyond that of a seventh grade boy, this trend will likely continue.
