Shar Pei training is not as complicated as other dog trainings because they are naturally intelligent with a pleasing personality. Patience and consistency are the keys for successful Shar Pei training. Here, I am going to help you with Shar Pei obedience and potty training by making your task a little easier and less frustrating.
Obedience training
Nobody likes to have a dog that jumps on people, knocks kids at the park, barks at everyone and begs for food at the dinner table. Everyone wants to have a well-behaved dog but only few people own them. These few people come in the list of good trainers who know the importance of being patience while training their dogs.
Most dog owners make the training session boring by forcing their dog to learn the same trick for more than hours a day. Dogs learn only when they are in playful mood with some energy left. Training should seem like a part of the game so that your dog enjoys and learn something from it. So, keep your training sessions short and fun.
The commands that you teach to your dog should also be short and easy to understand like "Sit" or "Stay". These simple and single word commands hold the dog's attention span for a longer period than complicated and long commands like "Stay there, puppy" or "Sit down here puppy, don't move".
Potty Training
Shar Pei training for potty is not so important like in other breed of dogs because Shar Peis can potty train themselves. If training is implemented for it, then it can speed up this process. Make sure that your puppy goes outside every time he wants to relieve himself. For motivating your Shar Pei, reward him with treats and praises whenever he does his potty at right place.
