To start off with, Frisco has the Pizza Hut Park that houses the Texas major league soccer team the FC Dallas. It is a world-class venue that hosts both MLS and youth championship games. It is even good enough to host international soccer contests and it holds it fairly regularly. Other than the sports hub, the place also doubles up as a major venue for large concerts.

For more sports there is the Dr. Pepper ballpark that houses the Frisco Rough Riders, which is affiliated to the Texas Rangers AA. This ballpark is built with the crowd's enjoyment in mind. It offers a really interactive experience with suites, party pavilions and other sections.

For the golf addict there are several golf courses that have proved to be quite the challenge for many golfers. From the Tom Frazio golf course at the Westin Stonerbriar to the 'Trails at Frisco' and the plantation golf course, there's plenty to choose from.

Frisco also has another major claim to fame. It is the city in Texas that has the most number of modern art pieces in the country. It has as large private collection of Modern Art installations and it also has a regular art festival which brings together a lot of the great artists from all over the region, country and even the international scene.

However, if you are in the mood to shop, you can go to the legendary downtown area of the city where all the action is. No matter what you are looking for - modern art samples or the latest in clubwear - this place has it all. You will find a lot of antique stores too so that you can take a piece of Frisco or Texas back home with you.

Also, if you are going to go the whole hog with shopping, there is the Stonebriar center. It is a must visit for anyone who likes shopping malls. And you will definitely like visiting one of the largest shopping malls that there in in the southwest. It has its own ice skating rink, a '24'-screen theatre, departmental stores like Nordstrom, a carousel, all kinds of food and everything else that you will expect find at a mall.

Frisco also has a huge IKEA store where there are 10,000 home products on sale, 4 entire model homes, 52 different room settings, a supervised children's play area and also a Swedish restaurant.

In addition to all of this, there are different festivals happening in the country all around the year. So no matter when you come over, there will be something or the other happening.
