There is certainly no doubt that Jerusalem is considered by many to be the most interesting city in the entire world

. It is the center of three major religions, Islam, Christianity, and Judaism. The sites to see in this beautiful city, both historical and spiritual, are endless but traveling to see them requires a passport. Don't let that scare you because getting a passport is easier than ever if you access an online passport agency. Getting an online passport is surprisingly quick and easy.

The thought of navigating the system in order to get a passport used to strike fear in the heart of even the bravest soul but the internet and home computers have made the process quick, easy and incredibly efficient. You see, obtaining your pasport can be done in as little as 24 hours from the convenience of your own home. Now, that is quite an improvement compared to the old procedure that always involved waiting in long lines.

There are definitely some sites that are worth seeing for yourself. One of these is the Western Wall. Also referred to as the Wailing Wall, is one of the most sacred spots in the city. Many, many people every single day come to this ancient wall to pray and meditate. This site is located in the Old City portion of Jerusalem, along with many other important sites. The Church of the Holy Sepulcher, regarded as the most sacred Christian location in the world, is said to be where Christ was resurrected. The Al-Aqsa Mosque is the most sacred site for Muslims, as it is said to be where Muhammad ascended into heaven.

No visit is complete without a trip to the Israel Museum. Here, you can view the Shrine of the Book which contains the Dead Sea Scroll as well 500,000 other artifacts related to the history of Israel and its people. A visit to Yad Vashem is an incredibly moving experience as it is dedicated to the Holocaust. Here you will see images and objects directly resulting from this awful time in world history with some objects actually being made by victims and survivors of the Holocaust. A visitor to this site will certainly never be the same.

The Mount of Olives is another place worth visiting, as it houses some of the most beautiful churches to be seen in Jerusalem. Beautiful trees line the wandering walkways, leading you past some of the most stunning architecture in the entire city. This location holds much significance for Christian pilgrims, as this spot is said to be where Jesus entered Jerusalem on Palm Sunday and where the Tomb of the Prophets is allegedly located. The Chapel of the Ascension is regarded as the place where Jesus ascended into Heaven.
