Skoda Auto tops in the What Car? awardsSkoda auto is still celebrating the festive season as the company is rejoiced with the success and recognition it is getting for its winning vehicles. More than 30,000 readers of What Car? voted Skoda, the Best Manufacturer of 2010. It did not stop here. Skoda's wide range range of vehicles left its mark in individual categories also. Skoda Octavia the luxury sedan, stood first in the Small family car category, and it also secured the second position in the Estates group. Skoda Roomster made at the fourth position in the category of highly-competitive MPV and the newly launched Skoda Yeti was at the fifth position in the best SUV category. Skoda Fabia, the small car that won acclaim for the outstanding performance made it at the top 10 rating in the Supermini category. These recognitions are a reflection of Skoda's one of the most successful year, as the Fleet News' Most Improved Fleet Manufacturer awarded the Czech company, the Best Car Manufacturer and the company also won the Auto Express Driver Power Award, voted by the satisfied customers. In the meanwhile all the Skoda models from the hatchback Skoda Fabia to luxurious sedan Skoda Superb to MUV Skoda Roomster have created a buzz among the organizations and publications. The Skoda Superb, one of the most liked vehicle from the German auto markers won two Auto Express gongs this year- for the Best Estate and the Best Family car, the Best Estate Car and Best Large Car rom Diesel Car, the Towcar of the Year and The Caravan Club's Class winner, and Fleet News' awarded it the Best Upper-Medium Car. The Skoda Superb Estate has also been recognized by Top Gear's Luxury Car of the Year 2009 award. The hatchback Skoda Fabia S2000 took the Championship crown of the 2010 IRC. Well these recognition are represented on the sales graph also as more than 37,000 units of Skoda cars were sold in UK in this year which registered a growth of 2 per cent in the market share. Skoda Auto is charged up with these recognitions it is getting worldwide and hopes to continue with its success story and fill its kitty with array of achievements. Skoda to draw Indian customers closer to the brand has launched its much awaited SUV Skoda Yeti in Delhi recently, this super power vehicle is priced between Rs 15.40 lacs and 16.63 lacs (ex-showroom, New Delhi). Skoda to further strengthen its grip in the domestic market is planning to launch a small car with the assistance of the Indian auto czar Maruti Suzuki. The car is speculated to be showcased by 2012.
